One of the new services MySQL Network will offer is a centralized graphical monitoring tool (complete with e-mail notification!) of database events. Easy-to-get but hard-to-monitor values of variables in SHOW VARIABLES or SHOW STATUS and some basic schema events are possible, and this is only the beginning.
This is a great tool to begin to do some real auditing. I think pictures state many words, so I'll show you what my instance looks like.
